GMADA and IT City Association Collaborate on Mohali’s Landscaping & Beautification Plan

The Mohali IT City IT Companies Association met with Mr. Vishesh Sarangal, IAS, Chief Administrator, GMADA, on 17th October 2025 to discuss the landscaping and beautification of the Airport Road corridor leading to IT City, Mohali, and adjoining areas.
The initiative aims to transform the route into a world-class gateway for global investors, clients, and professionals visiting Mohali — reinforcing its image as a leading IT and innovation hub.
During the meeting, Mr. Manipal Dhariwal, President of the Association and CEO & Co-Founder of Netsmartz Group, highlighted the importance of creating a visually striking, globally inspired corridor, taking cues from Delhi Aerocity and Singapore’s urban design. He proposed features such as landscaped green belts, artistic roundabouts, pedestrian walkways, and premium signages.
Mr. Sarangal appreciated the Association’s vision and assured that GMADA will float a tender to appoint a world-class architect for execution. The plan aims to give IT City a distinct identity reflecting Mohali’s global stature.
The meeting was also attended by Mr. Jitin Talwar, Vice President; Mr. Satinder S. Bedi, General Secretary; Mr. Ajay Garg, Chief Engineer, and Mr. Parminder Singh, Superintendent Engineer, GMADA. From the Association Secretariat, Ms. Rimneet Kaur and Mr. Vineet K. Verma also participated.
